Walking along the ancient walls of the Palace of Mycenae, one notices how in this ancestral architecture the natural shapes of the stones fit together seemingly spontaneously, without being shaped by human hands. It is the embrace that gives structure and strength, not the geometric will of the designer.
Paolo Grasselli started from this inspiration to design Kamari, a sofa system where rationality and ergonomics merge into the softness of the padding. Kamari is a collection with sculptural shapes, the result of seemingly simple work that hides skilful shaping of the upholstery and intelligent management of the technical parts. An organic shape, seemingly shaped by natural elements, embraces the seat and conveys the feeling of having found its natural place.
