Kumo is a sofa that evokes an embrace, a shell that captures and protects. A sensory invitation to sink into voluminous cushions that conform to the body’s shape, offering a space of total relaxation. The different sofa configurations here find a new expression, where the armrests extend all the way to the base and become supports, as if two hands gently holding whoever lies down.
The contact point between armrest and base emphasizes the softness of the upholstery and houses the metal supports. These supports feature a minimal upside-down T-shaped geometry, highlighting the structural qualities. The cushions are designed to instantly regain their original shape after use, as if suspended in the clouds, offering a delicate and enveloping embrace.
