“The name Chain comes from the idea of translating the image of a roll of fabric, proportioned with a regular rhythm and ‘unrolled’ along the perimeter of the backrest,” explain designers Meneghello and Paolelli.
A solution rooted in the concept of comfort, structured in the backrest, which brings order and linearity to an upholstered piece otherwise animated by a cadence of soft, welcoming bubbles. Chain suggests an informal, free, relaxed posture despite its sculptural volumes.
The rhythmic composition of the upholstered panels in the Chain collection is an unusual formal choice, evoking a double image: both pop and rigorous. It highlights the tailoring expertise of Twils, here embracing an innovative and contemporary vision of upholstery. The sofa and armchair designed by Meneghello and Paolelli are distinctive presences that define the space with well-balanced proportions.
The module is a highly fascinating compositional element. Simple and orderly, yet versatile, it always conveys the idea of great creative freedom and harmonious proportion management.
Meneghello and Paolelli adopt this architectural scale and make it the focus of Chain, a collection of upholstered pieces composed of sofas and an armchair.
